DEVI GARGON

DEVI GARGON (DEE-VEE) is a Hip Hop Musician from Hartford County, Connecticut. He grew up under playing trumpet drums and keyboards in local bands and picked up MCing at the age of nine years old. By the age of 12 he scored his first composition entitled "A Young Thang" for Jazz Quartet.

By High School his ambitions grew from being and acoustic instrumentalist to electric producing his own beats and DJing with a local sound set called Dynamic Force Productions. From 1995 through 1999 they swept through Connecticut and Rhode Island doing mixed tapes and revolutionizing youth entrepeneurship.

By 1998 though, DEVI realized he did not want to spin records, HE WANTED TO BE ON THE RECORDS. So at that point he turned his focus totally into become the next mc/producer. From 1998 to 2003 with a little help from his crew, DEVI GARGON was able to independently release, "Anything Goes", "Beauty Reflected in Sound" B.R.I.S. and "Collective Works". Simultaniusly though, he was making a name for himself as the local hype man for various Quality Nightlife and Royal Dynasty Events sponsored by Promoter Guru, Jason Hues. These events gave him the moniker, THE KID WHO SHUT IT DOWN" because every time he got on , the owners thought he was going to incite a riot!!!

Following getting his Bachelors in Business Management from Johnson and Wales University, DEVI set out to Albuquerque, NM. To host events for PMG Entertainment, DJ K-OZ and a host of others from there , to Orlando, and back up top again. In addition he was able to come home and lay the vocal and production foundation for CAVEWORLD ENTERTAINMENT (Caveman, RELIC, Heat Rock Saints) and HANNIBAL LECTURE.

Now in New York, DEVI GARGON is putting together a Music, Fashion and Real Estate Dynasty. "DEFINITELY NECESARY" the album has been pushed back but is slated to create its own genre by itsself. "DEFINITE NECESITIES" Fashion is soon coming.... THE REST AS THEY SAY IS HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!

My house was like a club... I listened to Hip Hop, Funk and Classic Soul...My brother is a Jazz Musician, Jimmy Greene, so his room was playing a lot of BeBop, my older sister listened to anything from Metal to Concious Hip Hop, and my lil sister played what ever was the hot shit on BET... so i have a lot of inflences, but the new sound is ROCK AND SOUL ....

I PRODUCE WITH THE TRITON, THE M3 SOON...THE MOTIF AND THE PHANTOM...ANYTHING LESS IS UNCIVILIZED...I LOVED TO BE RECORDED ON PROTOOLS, BUT IM GETTING GREAT RESPONCE FROM THE ACID RECORDINGS OF LATE....
