Ramona: On stage you say "The blond Hans", what is your name in real life?
Thomas: Thomas
Ramona: Thomas what relationship do you have to Pomerania?
Thomas: I was born in Pomerania, in Pasewalk. My grandparents fled at the end of the war from Stettin-Pomerania. When I was three years old, my mother, who worked previously as
a teacher trainer for nurses in Greifswald, and I went to Berlin. There I got my musical education. Ramona: Do you have a profession learned?
Thomas: Yes, business merchant. Eight years ago I started to take piano lessons and founded my first band at 15. My biological father, Karl Ludwig Trust, was an actor and director in a theater. I have also tried acting and was involved in film production as a supporting actor. On the big breakthrough as an actor, I'm still waiting ... ?.
Ramona: Why do you sing only sea shanties? What inspired you?
Thomas: My repertoire includes around 120 songs that are hits, folk songs and oldies. Sea shanties as you call, I sing since 2006 under the pseudonym "The Blonde Hans". For many years I played Conutrymusik and Rock'n Roll. Later, I toured with the legendary Sputniks.
In 2001 I started my solo career. That was a good decision. I have great pleasure in my performances. I have been working hard on a program that I use today in concerts. The result is: Sailorsongs and Comedy. A great combination, for I can do both, bring music and my acting ambitions.
Ramona: Do you sing your own songs or do you have a producer?
Thomas: I write my own texts, among others I have the Song "Amarillo by Morning" re-recorded with German text. I dont have a producer, I finance my own CDs.
Ramona: And you've already sold something?
Thomas: Yeah, my house and my car. Seriously. My fans were the ones who have touched me if I would even CDs.
Ramona: Do you sing always live on your concerts?
Thomas: Well, the music is from the CD, but I always sing live. At concerts in other countries or on cruise ships, of course, musicians.
