I used to play professionally, but music became a job. I couldn't play what I wanted to because it wasn't at all commercial, and I had to play music I didn't really enjoy. SO I burned out and didn't even listen to anything for about 8 years. THen I started listening again, and really enjoying it. It wasn't long before the creative juices started flowing, but I managed to ignore them until I got a great deal on a hammond organ. One thing led to another and here I am.
I don't play live, and I don't see that changing for some time. YOu never know though. But for now I am getting married and selling my place, so I think I am busy enough.
My influences are pretty varied. Chronologically, Bill CHase, Jimi Hendrix, Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock, a lot of Pink Floyd, then Jazz, such as Barbara Dennerlein, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Chic Corea, Branford Marsalis, Weather Report to name a few
Hammond CV and M3 Organs, Korg MS-20, Korg SP-100, Roland JX8P and SoundCanvas, Yamaha Tx-7, Casio CZ101, Master's Touch, Music Creator Pro, PC Drummer Pro, King Silver Flair Trumpet, Korg CX3's (Both new and older analog one) , Crumar Traveler 1, Fender Rhodes and Hohner Clavinette.
Music is somewhat magical the way mathematical combinations of frequencies, Volume changes, timing, etc can move human emotion. To me it is the very proof that there is a God, for I can find no other explanation for creativity and the ability to enjoy beauty than the fact that God gave us a little bit of His image.
