Band Bio
Formed in late 1999, Defiant Nature is on the forefront of a genre in the musical world known as math metal. Math metal is Heavy Metal music with parts of the songs incorporating hard, if not impossible to count timing signatures. The amount of pure talent running through these five young men has astonished audiences across the Midwest; enough, in fact, to land them a record deal with Smash Alley Records.
The band has recently recorded their full length LP “Nothing’s Sacred” and are planning a national tour with label mates “Fallen” late this summer.
The band has a long history originating in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They’ve played many shows at highly known venues such as The Intersection,
Club Soda, & Stooge’s, as well as playing with many great bands such as
Five Pointe O (Roadrunner Records), Mad At Gravity, Spoken, Bean Bag,
and Wesley Willis; as well as having the privilege of showcasing at one of the 2003 Troma Film Festivals in Chicago, their upcoming CD is being pressed
by Sony and distributed nationally through 101 distribution.
With a killer line-up: David Allen (19) on vocals, Adam Ford (20) on bass, Mike Hafer (19) and Josh Jett (22) on guitars, and Andy Bergman (20) on drums, Defiant Nature is ready to take the current metal scene by storm.

On top of being virtually one of the most talented bands in the Midwest, they also have a very notorious reputation. The band (on a personal level) is known as being one of the nicest bands around, however also the most offensive.
The proof lies in songs such as
“Your Sister’s In My Trunk” and “The Scriptures State That You’re Gay”
These tracks have left many audiences baffled and scared, yet intrigued as to what Defiant front man Dave Allen is going to say next.
The band has only a few more goals to conquer:
Go on their national tour, and have enough appeal and longevity to last long enough to be remembered to sustain impressing audiences across the globe.
The band is on a strong course to take the metal world by surprise bringing the chaos and confusion of odd timings into everyone’s mind
