We are a hardcore/metalcore band from Dubai. As a band we are quite varied in our influences, we basically bring all these different inlfuences together in our songs. For us each song is like a growing process were we are still experimenting and finding our own sound, but for now be prepared for some brutal shit.Band/artist history
DDT FACTS:
The band formed when Sary was reccomended by Tarun of local thrash band Deviant to Josh and Jeevan, they met at the next local gig and decided to form a band after sharing similar influences and ideas for the future of the scene.
The word "Decoy" was thought up by band "manager" and friend, Jumana Saber.
Josh came up with Death Trap from a conversation with Jeevan and Sary.
Matthew is only 13 years old and he is Jeevan's younger brother. He replaced ex-bassist Mikhil.
Paolo replaced ex-guitarist Apurve, who was the guitarist while the band was recording "First Fear". Jeevan played all the guitar parts to "First Fear".
Paolo has been a long time friend of Jeevan, having played for Jeevan's first band an Indie/Soft rock project under the name of Maple Youth.
Josh and Jeevan used to be in a band called "Odyn" together with band friends, Sean and Hilario.
The band nicknamed Sary "Rough Arab", for reasons nobody knows. And Josh is nicknamed "Munki" by the band. He got it from Deviant, because he used to go and disrupt jam sessions. He is also Deviant's punching bag.
Deviant's guitarist, Anup Suresh, Helped the band Record "First Fear".Have you performed in front of an audience?We haven't played an ACTUAL live show, but we have played at this little hotel once for a friend's little get-together alongside Fellow local acts beneath the remains and nepenthe.
When we play live we basically feed off the energy the crowd gives us along with the adrelanine and use that to keep us going.
