I been involved in music since I was 10, I'm now 30, so I guess the prrof is in the pudding when I say it's been a rough journey. After a rebrand about 8 years ago and another complete start over here just last year, I'm finally just now able to start building on something I feel is truly inspirational, enough so that I think it has a real chance at longevity as far as bills and retirement are concerned. But what's a little 20 years to practice and figure sh** out right?Have you performed in front of an audience?I've done a few bigger tours, one with 36Mafia that was pretty neat, and some local shows but for the last couple years my focus had been more on the production engineering side of things. But, in light of my upcoming album release, I'm sure I'll be back out there hitting the circuit hard to promote the new project.
Your musical influences
Well, my main influencers are pretty far out of my genre. I listen to some weird music no bulls***. Some of my biggest inspirers include; Bright Eyes, Eden, Blackbear, Devin Makes Three, Benjamin Todd, The Hill Country Devil, Ani Difranco's Little Plastic Castle album, Chidods, Forgive Durdens Razias Shadow audio play, and Bring Me The Horizon. But as far as rap and hiphop goes hands down I'd say Lil Wayne. After that like Doobie, Jadakiss, Fabolous. I've also been fuc*** with Jellyroll and Yelawolf tough lately. Grieves, Sadistik, Big L, JuiceWRLD, Future. The list goes on.What equipment do you use?
Right now I'm using an AKAI MPC X, an Arturia KeyLab 49, and the computer I built from the ground up specifically for making music. I also have an insane amount of plugins I've collected in the last 12 years. These include; The whole Spectrasonics series, Valhalla, SSL, Fabfilter Total Bundle, Waves 12 Complete, Soundtoys, Brainworx, LiquidSonics, Kontakt, Massive, and The Cableguys. And quite a few more (2076) last time I checked but thats what happens when you keep all your programs for 10 years.
