Band/artist history
Days To Break is a four-piece rock band from Bonney Lake, WA (just south of Seattle). All four members have three goals in mind, to write, perform, and play music for as long as they can. Days To Break originally dates back to the winter of 2000 when guitarist Brandon Lee and drummer Jimmy Voss decided to start jamming in Jimmy's studio (attic) in their free time. Soon bassist Tyler Simson joined and formed the first incarnation of the band (originally under the name "Track 7"). After a few school assemblies and backyard party shows, the group decided they were missing a vital part of a working band... a singer! After realizing that none of them could hold a note very well, singer/guitarist Ryan Penner joined the band. A few months later singer/guitarist #2 Zac Anderson stepped in to form the 5-piece band known as "First To None". Bassist Tyler Simson decided to leave the band months later due to musical differences. Now a 4-piece once again, First To None recorded a 'home-studio' demo in January 2003 and started to play shows at various venues around Western Washington. The band name was then changed to "Days To Break". In the Fall of 2003 singer/guitarist Ryan Penner left the band to pursue educational interests. Brandon moved from bass to guitar and Brandon Pettitt stepped in to take over on bass and background vocals. With musical influences stretching from Pink Floyd to Jimmy Eat World, Days To Break creates a refreshing sound of rock that incorporates the poetic lyrics of singer/guitarist Zac Anderson, the pounding beats of drummer Jimmy Voss, excellent bass lines and stellar vocals from bassist Brandon Pettitt, and crunching guitar work from guitarist Brandon Lee. With past experience, a new direction, and a bright future ahead of them, the members of Days To Break are poised to take over the music world one listener at a time.
