Hi I'm just a country girl from Alberta and I have always had a love for music and grew up listening to the Country Greats like Loretta Lynn, Lynn Anderson, Tammy Wynette, George Jones to name a few. My parents always had the music playing. My Dad also had some great 45's from the 50's and 60's and I still remember listening to Elvis and Buddy Holly . I have been writing songs for about 15 years now and I have found it to be a fun hobby. Now I enjoy the music of Leann Rimes, Celine Dion, Brooks & Dunn, Dixie Chicks, and Keith Urban to name a few.Band/artist history
Just playing at home with my hero my Dad since I was 3. He bought me my first guitar and had my brother , sister and I sing along Karaoke style to L.P's on one of those old portable turntables that had a Microphone so you could sing along with the song on the record. I had a great childhood and parents that did not mind if the music kept going until 2:00 in the morning. I still have the old ARC electric guitar my Dad had it is very special to me as he passed away in 1991.Have you performed in front of an audience?No until posting my music on this website the only ones that have heard my music are my family and friends .
Your musical influences
My Dad is to blame for my love of music. I have a varied taste in music but I have a soft spot for early rock and roll and Country Music. Now I enjoy the music of Wynnona, Leanne Rimes, Patty Loveless and Shania Twain, Lee Ann Womack and Martina McBride. I also admire the style Mary Chapin Carpenter and Bonnie Raitt.What equipment do you use?
Fender Newporter Acoustic guitar and a tape recorder. I have recently purchased a Cakewalk Recording Studio program and hope to redue my songs in the future.Anything else?
Hope you enjoy listening to the music. I know it is not of the best sound quality but I had fun in writing it. I'm not a singer I just enjoy writing, so thanks again for taking the time to give it a listen.

Just thought I would let you know that I finally put a new song on, A Train With My Name On It, blues style. I am trying out a new instrument, Cigar Box Guitar and Slide, so I played all the tracks with only cigar boxes. If you like blues, give it a listen and let me know what you think...
