A little techno ditty I was too bored to properly complete.

Progressive Rock

Select the Duck Select the Duck

A showcase of the outstanding features my Korg Triton can pull off. The song is full of notes and synth keyboard layers. It is much more complicated, intricate, and edgy than songs I have written in the past; Dream Theater influence is noticable.

Progressive Rock

Marsosphere Marsosphere

An extra-terrestrial stream of sound effects suggesting the atmosphere of another planet. Not for the faint of heart, or faint of ear. Great listening for when you're writing some science paper.

Noise

Here is the music that I can conjure up on my Korg Triton synthesizer. I'm a huge fan of classic progressive rock, so my music includes many elements of this period in music. All of this is entirely original, and I'm rather proud of it. Also included on this site are a couple of other gems: a techno song and a "sound" song.
Band/artist history
Combining my technique as a classical pianist with my appreciation for progressive rock and a Korg Triton keyboard, I sought to create the ultimate music that I would enjoy. After a year of experimenting, I penned "Active Ingredient" just before my senior year of high school. Since then, my skills as a composer have grown and my compositions have become more complex. My newest work, "Select the Duck", is full of fast moving lines and sudden time signature changes. What on earth will I think of next?
Your musical influences
This music is trying to sound like some of the 70's progressive rock bands that took rock music to its outer limits. My favorite bands are Yes, Genesis, Rush, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, and others. "Select the Duck", however, sounds more modern and electronic.
What equipment do you use?
All done on a Korg Triton Extreme Workstation/Sampler.
