Hello. I'm Darron Moore. I am the founder of the group 'Darron Moore and The 14th Floor'. I started out as a solo artist. The group concept did not come into being until much later.
As a solo artist, I would perform with a number of female vocalist spinkled with some fantastic musicians. It was in the early 1970's when I and my dad, Leroy Moore started Darron Moore and The 14th Floor.Band/artist history
Darron Moore and The 14th Floor officially started in 1977 after being named by their manager, Leroy Moore. Leroy Moore managed Darron Moore and The 14th Floor up to his passing in 1994.
Darron self managed the group up until 2000. Kirk Harvey now manages Darron Moore And The 14th Floor.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play the local scene in the Detroit Metro Area. We are currently working on a tour. We would like to join a tour.
There has been many special moments. But one that comes to mind is the time we played a club called 'Dummy Georges' in Detroit. They were having a grand re-opening and needed entertainment. We were booked for three nights in a row. We sold out every night! That was great!

My musical influences are, Sade, The Temptations, The Spinners, Snoop Dogg, Brenda Russel, Dionne Warwick, LuLu, The Isley Brothers, Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Marvin Gaye, Gene Chandler, Nelie, the list goes on...What equipment do you use?
We play with a six piece band and three background vocalists. As far a equipment, it varies depending on venue and needs of our act.
In general we use lighting, mics, speakers, etc., etc.Anything else?
