darph/nadeR is a noise duo hailing from the sickly-yuppified small town of santa rosa, california. d/n began in 1999, though the two members (jared butler and cory thrall) had been playing together for a few years in a few different noise projects. d/n has experimented with many different sounds and atmospheres, and is now firmly rooted in a loud, noisy form, where most of their other projects had been for years. having had darph/nadeR for the quieter moments for so long, cory and jared decided nadeR should be louder. so, starting in mid 2003, darph/nadeR took it up a notch, matching the sounds heard in jared and cory's other projects like drinking.coffee.from.counselor.troi's.head and the batcave. they are much happier being truer to their home sound. and they still have their quieter moments, they just don't have to hold back anymore......
they're also a part of the amazing online experimental/noise collective The Infinite Sector Project - www.infinitesector.orgBand/artist history
early '99 - recorded '...and now, a word from our sponsors...', but never released it for no particular reason.

2002 - recorded and released our first online only album 'zero'.
mid '02 - recorded and released 'the green album'.
late '02 - recorded songs for future comp releases. release of songs pending. did a few remixes.
early 2003 - recorded "bat man robin", to be released by infinite sector recordings. did more remixes. played live again (first time since the end of '99).
rest of 2003 - played live a bunch of times. recorded "the blue album", a self titled album, and an album called "villain". we also did many more remixes and a few collabs.

2005 - many more releases and shows this year - we go on our 2nd mini-tour, heading up north again - this time playing 2 shows in Washington. more releases! and other fun stuff.....
early 2006 - released our new album "galaxy", on infinite sector recordings.....some remixes, a remix for the companion disc to the soundtrack of the film "Threat", but mostly saving up for a BLAST and a PUNCH TO THE NECK.....!!!!! darph/nadeR is planning many a attack onto the public.....
