dA KidD was born on June 20, 1988 on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. dA kidD later moved to various states with his family growing up a Navy brat. It wasn’t until 1999 while living in Clovis, California dA KidD grew fond of rap music listening to many greats. In 2000, while relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina dA KidD began writing and free styling with his brother Michael (aka Joe Gunna) and a few other friends from the neighborhood dubbed Sedgefield. dA KidD began perfecting his skill dabbled in writing and singing hooks on others music and even helping with promoting and arranging others music. He downloaded his music and collaborations on MySpace.com/dakiddchys and formed his own following throughout the Midwest, East and West coast as well as the dirty south. In 2007, dA kidD collaborated with a lot of local talent and produced his first CD called “Da King of Charlotte”. dA KidD has been a featured in many talent showcases throughout Charlotte, North Carolina and in the February 2008 issue of talkofnc.com. dA KidD influences are Eminem, Cassidy, Kanye West, Ludacris and 50 cent. Expect to hear more from this Chicago, Illinois born and native of Charlotte, North Carolina.
