With two albums, "Sapphire Mood" and "Paper Vessels & Plastic Ladders", under her belt, her third album is due out in 2008. Cynthia has been offered tours and record deals but out of a genuine love for musical independence, she loyally remains on Indie Label Dol-Face Records.
Band/artist history
Cynthia is a singer/songwriter from Oklahoma. She started playing the piano at the age of 4 and has never quit. When Cynthia was 20, her mother died, which inspired the songs to start flowing. Her original songs number in the hundreds. Cynthia's first performance in 1997 was at The Poet's Loft in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was asked to be a featured artist after only writing music for 2 months. After a European Tour through Germany, Austria, Hungary and The Czech Republic, Cynthia opened up for Grammy Award Winner, Barbara Bailey-Hutchison at The Historic Arlington in May 1999. In that same year, Cynthia's first full-length album "Sapphire Mood" was released on independent label Dol-Face Records. It was at that same time that she began organizing charity events and concerts. "The Work of Their Hands" was her first endeavor which benefited The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Cynthia's current projects include composing and producing the soundtrack for "This Fluorescent Age," an indie film by Ron Thornton which will premiere at The Cannes Film Festival in the Summer of 2005. Her second full-length album entitled, "Paper Vessels and Plastic Ladders", was released in 2005 on Dol-Face Records. Cynthia's latest album is due out in 2008.
