Born and raised in Lexington NC. grow up Up Town living with his grandmother. In High School J got closer to two friends that were also cousin Mario Click(aka Click Two Times) and Odell Payne(aka Otrocity Soundz) .. Otrocity and Two Times were making beats one day after school when J came by. He watched and tried to learn trying at home then a few weeks later he was starting something he had no idea would make a major move in the direction his life was headed. He was mastering the craft in months what takes some years to get down packed. After high school he attended college but had to put it aside to join the work force. While working he met others who would form his team BEATDOWN PRODUCTIONSâââ
J always had a passion for poetry now with the ability to make his own beats at home he could use this ability to song write on his own. Two times was influencial in the process of him learning how to put bars together and also another compadre Marvin aka Bino. They both got him together and got him to do his first couple tracks and what was then known as Roc Em Out Records @ a coworker Blue Iceâs studio in Winston Salem, NC. At first it was a lil shaky coming out as far as delivery and staying on beat etc. But after more drive and determination J was able to dive into his groove.
I do what I do for my daughter and my fans . I know what my fans are expecting from me when I put out some newer music. They are always looking for tha classic curry heat" he states. "What I am moving forward to in the future is owning my own label and producing all of my music and putting on a few couple artist of my own. They know who they are" Look out this young phenom is going all the way live. Let's just watch and see.
