Crashing By Design

Crashing By Design is Danny, Tom, Levi, and Jason. We are an energetic Emo/Rock band and are influenced by bands like Senses Fail, Early November, Brand New, Thrice, A Static Lullaby, and others.

Crashing By Design is: Danny Morrison (guitar/vocals) Tom Waterman (guitar/backing vocals) Levi Merry (bass/backing vocals) Jason Grietens (drums)

Danny & a drummer by the name of Dave Bien started CBD in the spring of 2003 with Tom Waterman & Levi Merry. They immediately started working on new material. The first show date was on May 31, 2003 at The Garage. The band then recorded a 5-song demo and started burning and giving out copies to everyone. On June 22, Crashing By Design played a battle of the bands show in Farminton and was awarded 2nd place after only playing together for less than two months. Crashing By Design started booking as many shows as possible. People started noticing their energetic stage performances, upbeat rythms, and heartfelt lyrics. CBD recorded a new 4-song demo in October to give away and send out everywhere. In January of 2004, they acquired their current drummer, Jason. They also went into a studio to record some stuff for a compilation CD. Now, Crashing By Design is playing shows just about every weekend and will be recording & releasing an EP this spring. And the band will be going on tour this summer.
