Traylytas Grave was recorded while I was living in a 100 year old farmhouse
in the North Georgia Mountains.
I was surrounded by thousands of acres of the Cherokee National Forrest, just a few miles from where the infamous Trail of Tears began.
I had hiked those hills for many years and seldom returned home without thinking of the Native People who once thrived in that beautiful place.
When I bought my Cherokee ceadar flute, I was able to finally express with music what I had felt in my heart so many times while walking in their Sacred Lands.
I can understand why they miss that Place and in a very tangible way I think that Place
misses Them.
This C.D. is dedicated to The Cherokee and all their fellow Tribes who were robbed of such precious treasure.

Band/artist history
I started playing Native Flute years ago with an old friend Barry Baily (aka Roaring Mouse).
He is a Cherokee Shaman and an awesome musician. We played in a Celtic Band at the time but performed Native Flute at Coffeehouses and Clubs as well.
Once I bought my own Flute I recorded my first C.D., Traylytas Grave.
You can check out Roaring Mouse's music @ https://myspace.com/barrybaileymusic

I have a LOT of Flutes, but I highly recommend these 2 Flutemakers.
They do excellent work and are both certified Native American craftsmen.
