Coven of 13 is a five piece female fronted Rock band that incorporates flavors of Alternative, Goth, Metal, Industrial, Trance and Punk overlaid with a Deep Dark Edge based out of Metropolitan Boston. The band writes music that is "dark, heavy, all-encompassing, smothering, luscious".
Coven of 13 began its musical storm back in the Stone Age days of early 2004. Impressing people from their first show onwards Coven of 13 has a reputation for professionalism and obligating their commitments. The band has developed an international following ranging from Asia to Australia, the European Union and all over the US.
The Coven of 13 crew comes from diverse backgrounds ranging from Jazz, Celtic, Punk, Hardcore, Opera, Speed Metal, Death Metal, Folk and Pop. The band says that instead of sounding like this genre or that, they will create their own unique sound while not going so far off that no one knows what they are doing. Of course there is that dark side which always seems to show its frowning face.
