Old Style Bluegrass The Cross Creek Travellers band was formed in 1974. They disbanded around 1984. They were firemen,police officers and businessmen. They played at many festivals throughout Florida and many known places. Of those; Churchstreet Station, Rosie O'Gradys and Cheyene Saloon in Orlando.

Jan (pronounced “Yahn”) was born in Skelleftea, Sweden in 1958 and began playing acoustic music at the age of 14. He started playing the guitar in 1972 and moved to the fiddle and mandolin by the time he was 18. Jan moved to NC in 1989 after three years of traveling back and forth between the two countries and began working as a freelance translator and music instructor.
Back in 1981 a petite blue eyed blonde from Victoria's Gippsland area picked up a microphone for the first time and began belting out country music. The 14 year old showed plenty of potential.
