Corky and the Retards was a Porn punk band. Formed in 1997 with Justin "Schock" Terrell on vocals, Rik Henry on guitar, Mike Patton(not the Faith no more guy) on drums, and Nate Sumpter on Bass. Time went on and they recorded a tape(that's all they had back then) on a hand held tape recorder in Nate's garage. Sold many a copy. You can take a listen to "Black football hero" to see how that turned out. Time goes on and a few months later the band picks up Niles Bullock Anderson,Indiana's finest bassist at that time. Again a couple months go by and they record another tape. This time on a 4 track. The same songs as before, with a couple added songs. Kinda like the sex pistols did..Every album being the same one with a song or two added. Then Niles left for unknown reasons, and then Hallow Terror was tagged to be the next bassist. It was her first time playing a bass, and a first time being in a band. She quickly adapted to the band and to playing. A week after picking up the 4 string instrument they played an outside performance to a group of "punkers" and a few hundred rednecks smirking and talking trash on how we were "faggots". Then again another tape was recorded. Same songs + about 3 more. Not all of the songs are posted on here yet as they are not all available at this time. But you can get a glimpse of what we did, and how we did it. The funniest part was the stage performance. The band would claim to be "porn punk" which in most aspects they were, yet they'd smash baby dolls filled with blood on stage, and in the crowd. And they always covered the song "Minor Threat" by the band Minor Threat. Knowing full well that the song had nothing to do with their band, and even though the song wasn't about being straight edge, they'd all usually light up cigarettes before playing the cover.Band/artist history
