Band/artist history
30 years playing I have gone through the following evolution/devolution: Years 1-4 Punk Years 4-8 Jazz/Acoustic/Jazz Fusion Years 10-12 Bluegrass/Rock/Funk Years 13-15 Early Electronic Years 16-current: Metal-Industrial/electronic/Piano/Indie..... Years 17 Old Man band
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I started playing out in the Denver punk scene at 15 years old with "Western Decadence". That was a pretty incredible experience looking back on those venues/parties, what I didn't know then probably kept me alive. Denver was amazing back then, hell of a scene with "The Fluid", "Brother Rat", "Bum Kon" lots of great bands. This was followed up with jazz combo stuff and a stint drumming for an avant-garde punk group "Lip Smacking Kitty Lunch". This latter group was a technical powerhouse a fusion between sonic youth, rush, and, modern-prog rock. Other groups followed most notably "Slow Children Playing" which sadly ended up being just a studio creation. I focused on career goals outside of music until 2007 when "Karma Logic" was formed. This group was industrial metal/prog with funky drumming. Great gigs, one in particular was a packed house most of the night, punctuated with a fight outside the club. We weren't invited back, sadly, like we were responsible for the fight and general rowdiness. I'm sure they sold a ton of booze that night, the club closed shortly thereafter. Now playing out around Northern Colorado with "Weekend Weather".
