Media Monster is great! I'm not offended at all. Why should I be? You can't be offended at the truth can you? By the way, after reading your coments on Battle Hymn, I must say that my allegiance DOES go to my country and my flag, right after God and his only begotten son who died for me....and you!

:) Hi. Colm!
Thanks for the sweet, sweet words. I appreciate the friendship and the encouragement. I'm trusting the Lord for my daily "adventures"...expecting at least ONE miracle per day...May you experience a daily dose of gratitude, joy, peace, and prosperity today and everyday. I'm listening to Keith Green the "Early Years" right now....It's very annointed and he is one of my favorite artists whom the Lord has taken home for his reward...early on....

Hi Colm,
:) It's been a while my friend....
I loved your choice of a topic... May all those whose eyes need to be opened...BE OPENED....and for those who arent' supposed to see...I still choose to pray for them..."because the Lord desires that none should perish...no not one..." It is so very sad that the road is narrow and few there are that find it and walk in its way....but the pathway of Destruction is wide....and many shall fall.....
I pray that your efforts are extremely Blessed by the Lord...and I pray for you and all of my friends and family....constantly...as the Holy Spirit prompts me to...
Much love,
Michelle

Media Monster, so true my friend, it is all very plain to see, bravo for speaking your mind, anyone who is mad at this should take a look at who's side they are on.

Hi Colm, long time no talk, it's great to hear from you... I really like the new song (Media Monster), I think it describes the way the media sensationalizes everything perfectly. Nowadays we only get to see what the media wants us to see, and we are expected to buy into whatever angle of the story they are selling; it's unfortunate to say the least !!! Well, enough of my mindless ramblings and rantings... it truly is great to hear from you my friend, stay in touch.
Steve
P.S.- Thank you for the kind comments on "Destroyer of Worlds"... I uploaded another new song at about the same time as that one called "Time", I'm not sure if you've heard it yet (It's just vocals and guitars)... I also added a new beginning to "Classical Mist", it's from one of my favorite classical pieces. Thanks again, hope to talk to your again soon.

Hi Colm..
Good to hear from you..
"Media Monster" tells the story well..the sensationalism put forth every day in the newspapers & TV..We agree with the lyrics 100%
Its one big corporate conglomerate now..we only hear what they want us to hear anyway..we try to watch PBS , they at least have minimal sensationalism .
Kudos on your new song..great melody & production was excellent!
Have a great weekend...Peace...~ES~

Hi Colm,
Thanks for the invitation. First, my take on art and music is that they are expressions of the artists. The song "MEDIA MONSTER" was your expression about something you saw happened in the world! If I interpreted your song right, it dealt with how the media can often twist things to suit either their agenda or the agenda of politicians etc. There is a lot of truth in that song and we simply shouldn't swallow everything simply because it is in print or in the news. Did I interpret your song correctly?
I had problems viewing all the lyrics. Maybe you can try changing to a lighter background so that the text would be more visible. I think for the kind of song you are doing, people should be able to see all the lyrics so that they can better understand the song.
I think you did a great job Colm. It's a nice commentary on when the media can go wrong, if I understood your song well.
I invite you to check out my latest upload: "ROMANS 8: 28 BLUES" when you get

Thanks for the kind words, my friend. I try. I actually had the Pink Floyd riff in my head when I wrote "What we have". I try to make my music sound different than anything else but there are only so many chord progressions and scales, ya know? But I too have a song coming out on a compilation CD. It's called "Waiting to Die" and is not morbid like the title would suggest, but almost religious. It's about a new start when you die and how you shouldn't be afraid of death.
I gotta say: I still love "THAT FROGGY LOVE SONG!!!"LOL I really do!
