I Remember When I Remember When
Romantic jazz ballad featuring Paul Hawkins on flugel horn.

Dance Of The Spheres Dance Of The Spheres
A beautiful opening with glassy textures builds to a compelling contemporary orchestral theme. Don't miss the glorious rock cello solo at 3:36.

Meet The Gang Meet The Gang
A retro remix featuring an eclectic mix of funky drumming, live brass and driving bass. Great fun, with an energetic feel and catchy, feelgood melodies throughout.

20's Bash 20's Bash
A 1920's style jazz/big band piece featuring live brass. It's a lively, toe-tapping number similar to the Charleston, with a strong melody and solo sections for trumpet and saxophone.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
My performing days are largely behind me now and most of my time is spent in the studio dreaming up new tracks. However I do make the occassional appearance, mostly in jazz settings or accompanying my son's saxophone playing.
Your musical influences
I grew up listening to The Commodores, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Heatwave, Will Downing and Luther Vandross (but sadly never developed their vocal qualities), alongside the likes of UB40, Howard Jones and Level 42.
Interest in Jazz developed in my late teens with favourites including Bill Evans, Dave Grusin, Wynton Marsalis, Thelonius Monk, Harry Connick Jnr, Jason Rebello, Nat King Cole, Herbie Hancock and The Brecker Brothers. More recently I've really enjoyed Jamie Cullum's rise to popularity, Sting's jazz renaissance and the captivating vocals of both Stacey Kent and Natalie Cole. Incognito and Jamiroquai are also permanent residents on my iPod.
Hell, l even enjoy intelligent rap and tight thrash metal - anything goes!
