I am a multi instrumentalist for over 12 years now with experiences in multiple artist projects through various genres across the board ranging from heavy metal to ballads and pop music. I like to think good music is good music at the end of the day and do my best to reach emotions to pull on the heart strings to create a perfect atmosphere and vibe for any artist to write their perfect song to.
Codah (Francesco Giuliano) began as a bass player in various hardcore/punk bands in the Greater Toronto Area such as My Dear Dilemma, Renounce The Throne & The Curse Within. Through years or writing and producing music I went to Metalworks Institute in 2012 learning the ins and outs of the music business. Following that I partnered with my brother on a new record label that was funded by the City of Brampton. After 5 years of grinding I decided to take my personal experiences and translate it into music for various artists to write with. The love of music will forever be the driving force of Codah Music.
I played infront of many audiences in blues bands & a couple of solo performances here and there. The craziest experience I ever had performing was in a metal band. Two FULLY DRESSED & ARMED Vikings came into the bar, after several drinks and enjoyig the music they put on a battle between the Vikings during our set. I'll never forget the energy they brought to compliment our sound!
I grew up listening to everything and will continue to listen to everything. If I had to pick 1 genre for inspiration it would be anything in the punk/emo scene such as Silverstein, Atreyu, Taking Back Sunday, Secondhand Serenade, My Chemical Romance and that type of genre. However I use these inspirations in all typed of munsic I produce.
I use Pro tools & Ableton for all of my recording, processing, arrangements and mixing. I have Axe FX for when I record guitars along with a Sans Amp Bass Driver for a nice punch in the string sections.
I use various plug ins to create samples that I use to write new music and atmospheres with.
