I started a few years ago by playing in a guitar shop. a little while later, i started recording on my computer. now, i write songs and play guitar and add various online instruments. i don't auto-tune my voice or my playing. it's 100% me!
i accidently left my song book at my guitar instructor's shop, and the next week he was so excited. he thought (and still thinks) that i have a lot of talent!! he told me to keep writing because my songs were amazing and heartfelt and real.
not much history with me! been playing since i was really young, lessons on and off, teach myself. i write what i feel when i feel it and i play what i hear in my head as i sing. sometimes it takes longer than usual to write a song and put it together, but it's worth it in the end.
I have only played live a few times in a cafe or two in my area, it was so nerve-wracking until i really got into my rhythm!
a lot of things influence me. my life. my friends. my family. everything eventually ends up in one of my songs. i also listen to a wide range of artists, which helps me to get new ideas for strumming patterns, chord ideas, and such. Plumb has recently become an incredible favorite of mine.
my voice, my guitar, a microphone, and mixcraft 5. i don't do auto-tune, but i do a little bit of touching up. i occasionally add other instruments if it sounds good or adds to it. it's rare, but i will play a song or two on piano.
