Cliffhanger originally formed around 1990 in the Oklahoma City area. Its founder and lead guitarist Greg Wolf, who passed away in 1995, brought bass player Chris Thanisch and drummer Jeff Ogle together at a small practice space just outside of Yukon, OK. They were a typical party band at the time. Some of the most favorite songs they wrote include Gargantuathoniac, Turbo Rush, The Rising, and Demon's Lair. Recently, the surviving members have been colaborating for a new CD compilation featuring these songs as well as newer material.
Mostly, we were a party band. We held open door sessions as well as a private place called The Dragon's Den in Bethany, OK.
