Started playing guitar when I was 14, mainly to get girls. Then I got curious and started picking up the piano and drums when I was about 15. (this time it was just for fun) I played with my friends in a band called "No Name" back in highschool, and the experience broadened my musical awareness. Soon after I moved to America, I took a shot at composing short songs out of spare time and the need for expression.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play live whenever I'm drunk. (do karaokes count??) Otherwise, I haven't really played for an audience since I was in a band back in highschool.
Your musical influences
Tons. basically anything honest, heartspoken, and emotional.. music that's made out of love for music and not glamour and celebrity.. music that's unique and different, and at the same time pleasing to hear.. then again, i listen to some artists which most people might consider noise.. hmm....., lemme just name some artists then:
damien rice, jimmy eat world, josh radin, oasis, john mayer, hale, urbandub, rivermaya, powderfinger.. just to name a few.What equipment do you use?
I use a Peal acoustic/electric guitar (Korean brand for those who haven't heard of it), a G.E. portable mic, and my Toshiba laptop.
The software I use for editing are Fruity Loops ver. 4.0 (for songs with drum beats), and Audacity (for sound splitting and other effects).
Oh and every now and then I also borrow my roomate's Squire Electric and his Ibanez Amp..Contact
