Will Smith type? Nah, I try not to fit into any 'type.' I sit down, tool with my music, in that process, an emotion is struck. With Summer Sex (the strong that probably drew the Fresh Prince comparison) that was the emotion a fun throw back song. With 'its okay' that drew only what I've been through with my family, and all other references that you can pull out of the lyrics. The song actually makes no reference to the city of Baltimore. Finally, Inner City Saga: you couldn't be referring to this. I wrote the song in January after hearing about numerous children deaths in Philly and a new cycle for 2004 here in Baltimore. I have witnessed everything of which I speak and if you are paying any attention to what is going on now and has been going on for the last two weeks in Baltimore, how could you question my integrity?
