Children of the Grave should have been called Children of the Gravy, because they went very well with mash potatoes. They could do the mash potatoes, they could do the twist. They were bang on with those mash potatoes, they were bangers and mash. Yep.Band/artist history
It is the usual rock and roll story. It appeared they were heading for the top. Their song, "Tribute To Elvis" was tearing up the college radio charts. SubPop was interested in releasing their debute album (providing they'd pay to have it pressed). However, they got mixed up in drugs, women, bad management, and split acromoniously. They will never have a reunion outside of hell, because they all met tragic ends one way or another, a band more ill-starred even than Badfinger, to be sure:
