Sondclick welcomes the notorious Chigger RedBand/artist history
Chigger Red is one hell of a rock and roll band. Widely recognized from the bands
Los Angeles Club scene roots to national indie and now major label distributed acts as
the band to watch for fans of real rock and roll.
A mixture of blues, southern rock, hard rock and boogie, CRs music is just what you need
when you want to drive real fast or get drunk, think of CR as country music for rock fans. Formed in 1998 by southern raised brothers Michael and Chris Stansberry and longtime friend and native of Chile Leo Cuevas, Chigger Red quickly became one of LAs top drawing club
acts. Not an easy task for a blues rock band in LAs trendy music scene. CRs entertaining and energetic live shows make this band stand apart from most bands of any genre.
CR released its debut CD in 2000 that includes the blistering track Bitch a staple in the
bands live set as well as a continuous chart topper at mp3.com. CRs 2nd release Hammered
in 2001 was nominated best indie rock CD of the year by the Los Angeles music awards and
received accolades from all over the world. Notable CD sells in the European market caught
the ears of Os Music founder Oliver Schaffelhuber who led the band to Sony Music. In April 2003 Sony released CRs debut CD Re-titled Whiskey Soda Pop just as the band was
finishing up its 3rd CD entitled The Hard Road with veteran producer Travis Dickerson. Chigger Reds strongest release to date, promises to be one of the best rock and roll CDs released in a long time and should bring the rest of the world what LA and Europe already know. As Michael Buffalo Smith of Gritz Magazine wrote CR kicks off in3rd gear, bypassing 1st and 2nd, with the voltage of a 220 tapped to your nadsmakes me feel like jumping on the desk and playing air guitar. Rock on .Have you performed in front of an audience?yes
