Hello...Welcome to Chong Boon Secondary School Concert Band Soundclick. It is under the baton of its dedicated instructor, Mr Leng. Since its inception in 1994, the band has been actively involved in both public and school performances. The band has been putting up concert every year since 1996. For the SYF indoor Band Competition, the Band won a silver award in 1997, 2001 and also 2003. But,it clinched a bronze award in 1999. The band is now 10 years old, indeed a young band. Don't discriminate on it because for a noobie band like this, you will hardly find any of it in Singapore which scored a Silver for the FIRST Indoor SYF Competition. The band is the only band in Singapore which has all those professional branded instrument and the most beautiful decorated and air-conditioned band room which has a size of 2 and half average classroom size.Have you performed in front of an audience?Ya, our concert band will have exchange and outdoor performance all round the year.

I was very surprised to find that this was a secondary school band. Fantastic sound. Great musicianship all around. Very much in pitch. Impressively done. Polished. I remember performing this with the District Of Columbia Youth Symphony Orchestra. I believe it was part of our repetoire when we participated in the 1st International Festival of Youth Orchestras (1970).

PS great recording. Everything was balanced.Absolutel excellent. It took me back to my high school days when I played percussion in my high school's band in Montana. Although we were not anywhere near as accomplished as these fine musicians. Thank you all so much.
I only wish I could have downloaded your selections for listening elsewhere.

I am sorry but i have to rain on the parade because this sounds identical to the recording done by the Boston Pops under the direction of John Williams in the late 80's. I am not buying that this is your recording. Don't believe me...find the recording for yourself and compare.
