Country-Pop

Have tried many styles over the years, rock 'n' roll, indie, country, Irish, had a go at most types of music I started playing guitar at 18ish and am self taught, but wish I'd had lessons early on (it would have sped up the process). I started out writing my own tunes because I couldn't play anyone elses! I'm from a small town called Shefford in Bedfordshire, England. My songs are recorded at a little studio run by Mike 'we are not worthy' Strutt, a great musician, though he often denies it. He plays the instruments I can't and leads me in the right direction when I'm stuck where to go with a song.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Played as part of a duet in pubs, but not for awhile now. The last gig we did was for a wedding (hello Trevor & Rachel), which was good for me as they requested a song I wrote called English Rose for their first dance, well chuffed I was.
Your musical influences
Buddy Holly first made me want to play guitar and music from the fifties through the sixties to present day indie has influenced and inspired me.
What equipment do you use?
Epiphone semi acoustic, an old Marlin acoustic I had when I started out, Gibson ES175 & Squire Fender.
Anything else?
I record my stuff at Reeltime studios in Bedfordshire with Mike 'the producer/music impresario' Strutt. A long way from the old cassette player in my bedroom.
