CAMIL(Chicago Area Midwest IL) Born in Kankakee Illinois a small town 50 miles south of Chicago stated to be the worst place to live in America by Places Rated Almanac,USA Today, Readers Digest and David Letterman has set out to prove that the best things can come from the worst places.

CAMIL has recorded 11 underground tapes and CDs since 1998 and has independently sold over 20,000 CD's. He has proven to be a talented and versatile artist.

His recent release " Why U Ain't Signed" was produced by Vudu, who has worked with artists like Ludacris, Field mob and Jamie FoxxsGeorgia, including as well as producing tracks for Chingy, R Kelly, Reuben Studdurd, Young Guns, Shawnna, Do or Die, EightBall and MJG, just to name a few.

CAMIL has expanded his fan base by getting rotation on Power 92(Columbus, MS),Power 92(Chicago), WKKC(Chicago), WLRA(Joliet/Romeoville IL), internet radio in New Jersey and getting over 60,000 listens on his myspace page in just 4 months.

CAMIL was featured on the soundtrack " A Get Together" which included Kanye West, and Boyz 2 Men. He also appears in the 2006 release of the movie "The Coalition" with Reakwon and Power from The Wu-tang Clan, Chuck Zito, Michael Wright, and Frank Vincent.

CAMILs stage performances and strong delivery captivates his audiences leaving them wanting for more, especially women. His delivery is so unique, he seems to speak to the consciousness of everyone who listens.

CAMIL has performed in venues such as "Soul Cafe" and "Club Downtime" in Manhattan, "Climentes" in Harlem, "Club Nells" in Manhattan, "The Curve Killers Bikefest"

I listen to a variety of styles. It's more the message and flow I look for than anything. My sound is totally unique and I call it ' BEST ' rap. A new genre representing that all around flavor of Blended East South and Tupac styles with a natural midwest funk.
