Butta AKA Baby Don

Butta's Biography

Butta, also known as the "Baby Don" of the city is 22 years old and is from West Baltimore. He has lived in Irvington, Randallstown, Woodlawn, and Virginia. He enjoys rapping, boxing, playing basketball, smoking that good, sippin that dark, and spittin that game. When asked how long he's been rapping, he quickly responds, "Man, I been frying niggas since I's ya-hi". His first time laying down a track was at the age of 17 down Virginia. By creating a local buzz, this microphone fiend came back home and recorded his first Cd entitled, B-More's Finest, at the age of 18. This Cd was sold out the trunk of his mama's car for $3.00. In November 2003, he linked up with Doc Dutch and the Soulhop family through Soulhop's flea-market presence. Through hard work and determination to the music, he appeared on several Soulhop mixtapes in 2003 and 2004. By popular demand of the streets, he was pratically "forced" to release his "Baby Don" CD in March 2005. He says that he named this CD Baby Don because "he ain't the Don yet, but he finnin to be". "I'm just watching all da Og's right now and takin notes so when they pass that don paton I won't go wrong". He currently owns a 88 Cadillac sittin on 10's, and you can find him any and everywhere. He says that his influences are hustlers, because "they grind to get by, and this music business is the same way... controlled by the hustlers. His favorite rappers are Biggie Smalls, Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, and Pimp C. He is currently workin on his next Cd, In-Nese-Screets, which is scheduled to hit these screets in late August. This CD will feature the rest of the Soulhop family, and is predicted to be his best work to date.
