What do you think of when you hear the band Burning Alive....
Do you think of Beautiful Harmonies, A Great Drummer, Killer Vocals that shake you spine, That dirty bass that rapes you in your dreams...
Or do you think of some idiot covered in gasoline... running around your front yard screaming for help.
Well... Either way your right.
BURNING ALIVE BIOGRAPHY
Towards the end of August 2005. Nick Belcer decided that he wanted to start up a new band. He already had a fairly good line-up. Consisting of 2 guitarist a drummer and a bassist. They were looking for a Vocalist at the time. They decided to hold a tryout session were they tested 3 vocalist "after Mike Haley had found himself a spot in Cavitation". Out of the Three they came across Brandon Sullivan. A vocalist that had not had alot of experience in Metal Music. But had alot of Natural Talent that they could work with. He had sang for a couple of bands before them such as a Burlington Emo/Acoustic Band "Knocking up Sally" and a small period of singing with a Burlington Punk Band known widely as "Potential Ignorance". But was widely known for his lead vocals in a local Hardcore band known as "Wings Over Scarred Hearts". Which is now known as "A Soldiers Prayer."
After tryouts Nick decided that he wanted a Bassist that he could chizel into a "true metal" bassist. "One that could just simply write his own music and keep up with the rest of the band." This is were Hardcore Bassist "Justin Walker." Steps into the Burning Alive Scene. Nick Says "Justin is an all together excellent Bassist. And i love the guy because all i have to do is start playing something and he will match up a bass line instantly. It makes my life alot easier." Justin has been a prime addition to the band and has been working out perfectly since then.
Now that Burning-Alive has a full lineup they have been getting material down and preparing for there first EP "Where To Lay Your Ashes" wich will have the following titles on it ::: Runaway, Another Death Bed, Texas Rose, Memory, Were to Lay Your Ashes, Gutter Rose, Blind Lense of Love ::: They have been setting up for shows and will be ready to play out once again this December.
Although they have been having difficulties with some small issues. Everyone is excited and ready to make a scene. Craig Snipes "Lead Guitarist" says he is ready to show everyone how much he has learned, and matured as a guitarist since playing lead in local punk band "Potential Ignorance" His exact words were this "I completely sucked and i had not rythm whatsoever. Im just eager to blow everyone away with my new skills." Other then that. The drummer "Martin A.K.A. Bugsy" is just the excellent drummer he has always been. But for a small period of time after a tragic Motorbike accident. "were bugsy got into a fight with a tree and snapped his leg in half. And has a metal rod from his hip to his Knee." Bugs could not even lift his leg. And is now getting his double bass back to speed. And says he is ready to show everyone what real Death Metal is all about.
Nick Bielser "Burning Alive Guitarist" Says he is ready to show everyone. How much everyone has matured. And says he just simply wants to blow everyone away. And thats exactly what we are going to do.......
We all live in Burlington Iowa, AND WE LOVE IT HERE... But want out of such a small scene. WE ALL JUST TAKE METAL VERY SERIOUSLY AND CANT WAIT TO TOUR ALL OVER THE US.
