The Buddah Brothas are a hot new production team made up of Anwan Ekpo and Cisco Martinez. This duo, like fine wine; continues to improve as time passes, and will inevitably emerge as a production force to be reckoned with. Nothing but heat escapes their studio as the Buddah Brothas strive to be the innovators of a new style of music packed with the best of the old school sound. With a flava from all genres, the Buddah Brothas continue to prove that there are no boundaries to their music. Add their production to the unique flavor of some local and international new artists, and you now have the breeding ground of a team destined for success. They began experimenting with their own beats in their Toronto studio "The Sewer", under the umbrella of "Raw Sewage Productions" in 2000. The pair are looking to secure continued work in 2004 with talented and dedicated artists. They are also interested in pursuing other aspects of music production for film and televison. The first Buddah Brothas 12" from their upcoming album “The Missing Pieces”, features two artists, each with their own unique sound. Side A featuring the fresh new funk / soul of Ritchie Hennessey A.K.A. S-Roc, of BrassMunk. Side B offers the warm cigar lounge soulful vibe of seasoned singer / songwriter Darryl Riley. The pair has now released the eagerly anticipated second single from their upcoming album “The Missing Pieces”, which feature two female vocalists. Side A features newcomer Chimere, whose effortless style will see her sitting at the top of the charts in the years to come. Chimere joins the Buddah Brothas over a feel good summer slammer that inspires the listener to kick back, relax, and enjoy the groove. Side B features the sultry vocals of Toronto’s beautiful and talented Kayte Burgess. The track is an R&B / Jazz mix with lyrics that every woman can relate to, again over top of another Buddah Brothas banger.
