What is a stem / trackout file?
A Stem file is an audio file that contains a track split into several musical elements: A drums stem, a bassline stem, a harmony stem, and a lead stem for example.
The Stem file also usually includes the original stereo master of the track for standard playback.

Why would I need a stem / trackout file?
A trackout file gives you much better control. Imagine you rap over a beat and you realize the percussions take the focus away from your vocals. With a trackout file
you can simply tone down the percussion and the focus is now on the vocals. With a trackout file you have much more flexibility and a whole different level of control.

What up. We are BrickNotes Productions birthed in Petersburg, Va. Two thirds currently reside in Hopewell and Petersburg and the other in Atlanta, Georgia. We specialize in new era Hip Hop with R&B Futuristic sounds. Our mission is to bring back HIP HOP with true lyricism on top of dramatic backdrops.
Band/artist history
It all started in Lagrange, Ga with an MPC 2000 XL, VS840 and a JV1010. Our studio was in a room with 2 Brick Walls thus the name BrickNotes was birthed. During our journey, we traveled and worked with various artists and producers throughout VA, GA, NY, and Florida. All these places greatly influenced our sound which created a marriage between down south bangers with a Northern Vibe.
Your musical influences
My heroes are Just Blaze, Timbaland, Neptunes, Alchemist, and Havoc but I can go on and on.
What equipment do you use?
I use an MPC Renaissance, MPC Studio, ProTools Duet, and a Jazz Fender Bass.
