MY HEARTFELT PRAYERS, COMFORT, AND SUPPORT ARE WITH THOSE VICTIMS OF THE VICIOUS ATTACKS ON THE WORLD TRADE CENTER AND THE PENTAGON, THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. IN DEDICATION AND HOPE SOMEDAY FOR WORLD PEACE, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO CHECK OUT THE UPBEAT BUT PLEADING SONG "WHAT WILL IT TAKE". Peace! - BMP PLEASE CLICK THE "NEWS" LINK ON THE RIGHT SIDE FOR SOME SPECIAL NEWS! Hi. I'm Brian Michael Page, a solo artist in Rhode Island. The band (at the moment) is me, myself, and I.
Band/artist history
Born on July 1, 1964 and writing songs since the age of 12, playing guitar since the age of 8 and piano since high school, Brian went on to serve as music director for different Catholic churches in the Providence and Woonsocket RI areas. He had also spent three semesters at Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. In addition to serving as a church organist, Brian has found time to also bring back his roots as a writer in the secular world. Brian has no band yet, but hopes to find one to back him up. The background music to the files you here are the end result of masterfully crafted MIDI files on his computer, in hopes that someone (or some band) will discover his work as a writer and maybe even work with him and that Brian will be able to financially afford time in a real studio and really do this thing right! Brian's first album is "Doin' It My Way", named after his own song "I'm Gonna Do It My Way", written in July 2000. Most of the ten tracks were written in 2000, with a few from 1990, 1991, and 1995. Brian enjoys family life as well with his wife Ann and four children, Christopher, Jessica, Brian Robert, and Brittany. BTW, check out Brittany's clip on the end of "I'm Gonna Do It My Way". It's really cute.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not yet. Talking with one band who is interested in me. More on this as it develops.
Your musical influences
Eric Carmen (before, during and after the Raspberries), Paul McCartney (especially in his Wings days), Michael Bolton, Badfinger. I like a good tight melodic rock tune, but also like good soft ballads.
What equipment do you use?
A desktop computer with a couple of basic recorders and Music Time 3.0, believe it or not. Maybe someday I can afford to be in a REAL studio!
Anything else?
Just don't tell me goodbye because I'm gonna do it my way and prove to my dark-eyed angel I'm gonna make something of myself, take her out to someplace exsquisite, and hope that she's wearing something blue. Man, I hate this being a pauper sh*t! I can't take it no more. Just say the word and we're going places. In RI, it's not what you know, it's who you know. I don't wanna be here tonight (in my present state). I just wanna tell my wife in song "You stole my heart". Pretty good, eh? My "Doin' It My Way" list of titles all in sentences. :-)
