Plague Doctors( Fowler)

Welcome to the Plague Unit

What will be our fate?

Leather bird beak mask

Lives Fading Fast

Smoke is Rising from the burning fires

Endless Bodies in the Funeral Pyres

We want to save the sick

Leave this place where death is thick

1349 was a bad year

Kings and Queens, Rats and Fear

The only thing not infected is the sky

I scream to the heavens why?

Can I heal them of the plague

And not catch it I beg

I am too young to die

Plague Doctors never cry

Pipes of Pandemic( Fowler)

Grim reapers infest our air

Dying parents under childrens care

No one can help me I am barely alive

Its good luck I already died inside

They told me things will pass

Who knew this Plague would last

I hear the pipes of pandemic calling

Playing the song of death

The only relief I will ever know

is sound of my last breath

Quarantine signs on every door

Shaking this nation to its core

Not sure when this death will end?

Is God paying us back for all our sins

Not sure we will ever know

You always reap what you sow

I hear the pipes of pandemic calling

Playing the song of death

The only relief I will ever know

is sound of my last breath

Thru the Plastic ( Fowler)

I see you pointing thru the plastic

I see you pointing right at me

Just Like a Animal in a Bubble

Children look at me

I see you staring thru the plastic

Yes I can See!

Staring out of the Plastic

I reach out to You

We put our hands on the Plastic

And realize its a zoo

Clone Me ( Fowler)

I want to meet my clone

And live there in his happy home

To love his beautiful wife

To teach his son to ride a bike

Read the Bible to his mom

And build a shelter from the bomb

Take more shots of dna

To become more like him every day

Clone Me

Make me stronger than I am

Clone Me

Make me smarter than I am

Clone me

Teach this Robot how to love

Clone me

I am as random as the moon above

Psy-Op ( Fowler)

The problem,reaction,solution,revolution

True artificial consent,its permanent

Souls have been sold for computers, whats on your screen?

Freedom grows seeds of discontent, when in quarantine

A definite illusion ,

to cause mass confusion

To guide and direct the herd

towards to slaughter for their words

Loud speakers blow out your rights

Like a burglar or a thief in the night

When your ID becomes your chip

You may have well lost your grip

PSY-op in full swing

Like a Bird in flight with a broken wing

Pretty soon he is coming down

Reality calling is a deafening sound

Future Man ( Fowler)

Nation versus Nation

Conflict wrecks total peace

Dollars are the National Whore

Hail! Hail! The thought police

Children run and scream and hide

Afflicted by disease

Mom and Dad are chained

All property is seized

A new king with a golden mask

A drunkard with a golden flask

Is the end I have to ask

My ears are bleeding from the blast

Is this the future of the past

Im not sure I want to know

Sillouttes of Future men

Standing in the Glow

Pyramid on the White House Lawn ( Fowler)

Pyramid on the Whitehouse lawn

a symbol of the coming dawn

shows us everything has changed

I am now mentally deranged

pyramid on the white house lawn

the symbol of the new age dawn

Freedom is a distant thought

with all this commotion

I completely forgot

too busy losing my mind

is this the end of all mankind

Pyramid on the white house lawn

a symbol of the new dawn

reminder that everything has changed

forever scrambled rearranged

Pyramid on the Whitehouse lawn

a symbol of the coming dawn

shows us everything has changed

I am now mentally deranged

pyramid on the white house lawn

the symbol of the new day dawned

Recorded Pain and project fear. Both are how I felt watching bombs explode on tv. I actually had them blow up over my head in Desert Storm, Maybe it blew up inside my head. I feel pain sometimes. 11/25/2024 Happy Thanksgiving!!..Still recording music and having fun. 2-24-25 recorded project fear with new lyric and arrangement 3-9-25. Still kicking, uploaded different version of Fear and SR9. A flanged out version with almost 3 minutes of trip out at end. Still making sketches and I mine these for my official releases. I am happy folks dig the origins of the songs and the re-workings. Holla if you are on this journey, not the typical fare but original thoughts. Some are just jams they never get finished. Enjoy and its a pleasure..I uploaded a few more mixes and made a album of the collection Called spaceman..It really,is the demos for No Binoculars before the maze.I take my ideas to the group James Dunn drummer ( Secret Saucer,SPACESEED,Lord Only,The Jupiter 4) He said he needs a rollo-dex to keep up with his project and Sloan Leavens. They help produce and flesh out the ideas.4-27-2025..These are raw recordings .I make em the best I can.The R24 is not working well fading things out.I am learning to try and make recordings, but prefer working in a group.Super cool they will take my crazy ideas and flesh em out. These songs I write and take a stab at em.Glad to have Sloan sing em.

Brian Fowlers lyrics often present apocalyptic, dystopian visions, blending historical, political, and environmental commentary. He seems to be reflecting on humanity's self-destructive tendencies, especially through fear-based control, the unseen consequences of our actions, and the inevitability of cosmic or existential endings. These songs could be seen as critiques of modern society, warning about the dangers of fear-driven decision-making, environmental neglect, and the cyclical nature of societal collapse.

If you're drawn to songs that offer a mix of psychological depth, social critique, and existential reflection, Fowlers work is rich with these elements.

July 16,2025 Still recording and writing. The Jupiter 4 is out, Secret Saucers Steve Hayes lended his talents.Pick up a copy or download here on soundclick or Bandcamp. No Binoculars before the Maze is in mix down on our album and my son Charles is making a video. He is a great artist and curator of PASAQUAN. I am gonna start recording experiments again.I find my songs from these jams. All 3 anre available for download ( look in albums)I think these are interesting because they are some improv then I jam over them and some are riff oriented. I really enjoy doing these experiences and experimentation.Holla and leave me a comment.July 25th got a new tune going called Paranormal it is heavy.I am waiting for the No Binoculars before the Maze cd . We are almost done. I played Octave Mandolin and regular mandolin and acoustic guitar as well as the bass and lead guitar.I got a Yamaha synth and did a lot on synth on this album. The first The Jupiter 4 I played a bunch of keyboards, the second I didnt at all and focused on bass and guitars.I write most all the initial ideas and the lyrics and the group helps me shape em.This site is the raw, rough, and demo stuff.I am glad I made all this. Some folks like the demo stuff better than my group stuff. My son is making a video to Green Tide and The group is laying drums.Basically over the drum machine parts. These demos are basically bits and pieces of later songs and they are songs too.Anyway! Peace .put up 2 demos Tounge and Eyeball. They came out petty cool 10-8-2025. most is one take so it has a live feel and is more jam.. Brian Fowler Musician, Composer, Performer

recognized Jefferson Airplane lineage, bridging the band’s 1965 San Francisco folk-rock origins with

Fowler’s modern Georgia-based “cosmic Americana and space-rock explorations. Beyond music,

Brian Fowler also appears in independent film projects, including Chaos God and Sun Monster

(produced by Kreg Thornley), where he is credited under the performance alias Superczar. These cult

and experimental features extend Fowler’s creative reach beyond music into surreal and psychedelic

cinema, complementing his broader body

Band/artist history

Brian Fowlers Kosmische Musik is a solo exploration of space-psych soundscapes, blending electronic traditions with raw, guitar-driven cosmic textures. Written, performed, and programmed entirely by Fowler, the project channels the lineage of early Krautrock pioneers while pushing into new psychedelic terrain.

Layers of guitars, bass, analog-style synths, and programmed sequences expand outward like orbiting satellites, creating atmospheres that feel at once futuristic and deeply human. Each piece carries the hallmarks of Fowlers avant-psychedelic approach: kaleidoscopic tones, hypnotic repetition, and a sense of journey through sonic labyrinths and cosmic vastness.

As both an artist and U.S. Navy veteran, Fowler draws on lived experience to craft music that resonates with resilience, wonder, and exploration. Kosmische Musik is not background ambience but a psychedelic transport vehicle, inviting listeners to dissolve into shifting landscapes of stars, planets, and inner dimensions.

Beyond his solo work, Brian has an extensive history in the psychedelic and space rock community. He has written songs and recorded albums with members of Jefferson Airplane, Hawkwind, and Moby Grape, and completed four albums and two U.S. tours with Spaceseed. His music and performances have been featured in Relix, Progression, Record Collector, and in Craig Fentons book Take Me to the Circus Tent. He was the subject of a full-length interview in the Jefferson Airplane U.K. fanzine Holding Together.

Brian has appeared at major festivals and venues across the Southeast, co-founded the Bibb City Ramblers, and continues to lead projects such as The Jupiter 4 and No Binoculars Before the Maze, Brian also collaborated with legendary figures like Col. Bruce Hampton. Brian Fowler Comprehensive Biography (Music & Film)

Overview

Brian Fowler is an American musician, composer, and performer based in Columbus, Georgia. A multi-instrumentalist whose sound bridges Appalachian Americana, progressive bluegrass, and psychedelic space-rock, Fowler’s creative career spans more than three decades. His distinctive “cosmic Americana identity links the folk traditions of the American South with the experimental and space-rock lineage of the San Francisco psychedelic era.

Early Career and Musical Foundations

Born March 2, 1967, Fowler began performing and writing music in the Southeast during the 1980s while balancing college and military service. By the early 1990s, he was an established working musician in Georgia and Alabama, performing bluegrass and Americana while simultaneously exploring ambient and progressive recording techniques.

Collaborations and Bands

San Francisco Blue The Jefferson Airplane Connection

In 2000, Fowler co-founded San Francisco Blue with Bob Harvey, the original bassist of Jefferson Airplane (1965). Their album Idiot’s Vision (recorded 2000, released 2001) fused Harvey’s folk-psych heritage with Fowler’s modern southern textures.

Fowler’s contributions as guitarist, mandolinist, and co-composer were significant, and this collaboration officially tied him to the Jefferson Airplane family tree.

He is mentioned by name in Craig Fenton’s 2006 book Take Me to a Circus Tent: The Jefferson Airplane Flight Manual, where Harvey credits him as his musical collaborator and later partner in SpaceSeed. This publication firmly documents Fowler as part of the Jefferson Airplane lineage that connects 1960s San Francisco folk-rock to 21st-century Southern space-rock.

SpaceSeed and Psychedelic Legacy

Fowler went on to play and record with SpaceSeed, the long-running space-rock collective associated with members of Hawkwind and Secret Saucer.

Working alongside Harvey, John Pack, and Steve Hayes, Fowler helped evolve the group’s sound into the 2010s, contributing to albums and live shows featuring various Hawkwind alumni.

His performances with SpaceSeed and its affiliated acts established Fowler as part of the Hawkwind / Jefferson Airplane crossover legacy, uniting British and American branches of the psychedelic underground.

Southern and Americana Projects

In Georgia and Alabama, Fowler became a central figure in the modern bluegrass and Americana circuits:

Bibb City Ramblers (20072023) A Columbus/Auburn-based Americana and bluegrass ensemble known for festival performances and acoustic gatherings.

Blackberry Possum (20162019) A high-energy “slam-grass band blending traditional Appalachian tunes with jam-band improvisation.

His artwork often centers on recurring symbols such as “No Binoculars Before the Maze, “Shock My Heart, and “Musicnaut.

These visual themes unify his music and storytelling, creating a personal mythology that connects his Georgia roots to the broader psychedelic tradition.

Film Work and Screen Roles

Fowler has also ventured into independent and cult cinema, appearing in two underground films directed and produced by Kreg Thornley:

Chaos God

Sun Monster

In these experimental productions, Fowler appears under the performance alias Superczar, blending surreal performance, dark humor, and psychedelic imagery. The films gained underground recognition for their avant-garde approach, combining mythic sci-fi and absurdist narrative with Southern Gothic energy themes that resonate strongly with Fowler’s music.

Themes and Legacy

Across every project from the bluegrass of Bibb City to the deep-space odysseys of SpaceSeed Fowler’s art expresses an American duality: earthbound storytelling and cosmic exploration.

He describes his work as “Americana meeting the infinite where a mandolin and a Moog can speak the same language.

As both musician and visual storyteller, he continues to champion regional creativity in Columbus and Americus while maintaining direct artistic ties to the enduring psychedelic lineage that began in San Francisco’s 1960s counterculture.
