Experimental Sounds

boron jive leper is an experimental sound and noise project. This project consists of one person and a constantly evolving set of audio production methods. Abused analog circuitry, computer based chaos, reconstructed found sounds, and other noise producing methods combine to create the boron jive leper sound. boron jive leper’s audio methodology was originally based around the PC. Pre-recorded samples and sounds were modified using various PC based applications to provide raw material. This material was then used within audio sequencing software and re-sampled, edited, looped, layered, and sequenced into a finished form. For the creation of his newer works, boron jive leper has mostly abandoned the use of pre-recorded samples. He has chosen, instead, to accumulate and build a collection of electronic devices from which to cull new and unique sounds. While the created sounds may still be modified and structured using the PC, all source sounds are now generated using feedback loops, circuit-bent electronics, microphones, thrift store purchased radios, poorly functioning tape recorders, and other assorted forms of DIY audio generation.
