"BlueZ'inc is a funk-blues-R&B band based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This 5-piece band has been playing shows in and around Ottawa for the last 9 years. Aside from a stellar rhythm section, the distinct sound of this band is fueled piano, guitars, harmonica, and rich vocal harmonies (with the occasional kazoo and washboard thrown in!)
Although BlueZ'inc originally began as "cover" band, in recent years the focus has shifted to a primary focus on original material - culminating in 2003 with the release of their first (self-titled) CD. The CD includes 13 original songs with stylistic influences ranging from blues, funk, jazz, R&B, reggae, and even jug-band! It can be purchased at live shows or at a number of venues selling independent musical releases in Ottawa.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes we play live in the Ottawa area, and have for the last 10 years.
Your musical influences
I think the general influence is funk based R&B, but we are certainly 5 guys from different walks of life, meaning from song to song, there are differences in style. This band really keep the audience on their toes in a live setting.Anything else?
We are in the middle of our 2nd CD which will be a stronger disc than the first because we did this one with the same line-up. The first disk endured a new drummer, and a different guitarist.Contact
