Black Zarak is the music that happens when and team up. We like to play everything live with little or no planning.
Band/artist history
Black Zarak are the minus one person. We drink too much tea and play too many SEGA video games. We play lots of instruments, regardless of whether we know how or not. Thomas is too obsessive about everything he gets slightly enthusiastic about. Patrick is too enthusiastic about everything he gets slightly obsessive about. We met many moons ago because we like things that people aren't supposed to like, like horrible loud noises, garish colour schemes, and mindless internet slang. LOL WTF!111!!!
This makes us make music.
These are the collective musical nuggets that we have made:
#1-A - Arc of Triumph, The
#2-B - BLACK ZARAK!
#3-C - Columbia/Panasonic Da Hedgehog Best Single Evar (Promo, limited availability*)
#4-D - Daddy Long Legs
#5-E - Everybody Panic!
* 'Panasonic Da Hedgehog' can be found on the Compilation 'Wasabi For Your Brainpipe' on Transdimensional Sushi (www.transdimensionalsushi.co.uk)
Have you performed in front of an audience?
It's hopefully in the pipeline.
Your musical influences
Jonny Greenwood, Pixies, Porn Sword Tobacco, Brian Eno, Sigur Ros, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Can, Shitmat, Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin, Charlie Parker, Presidents of the United States of America, Kraftwerk, Radiohead.
What equipment do you use?
Fruityloops, Soundforge, Audacity, Audiomulch, Stereo Condenser Mic, Sega Mega Drive, Fucked and Broken Casio SA-2, Electric Guitar, Accordian, Theramin, Practice Amplifiers, ZOOM FX Pedal, Alto Saxophone, Weird Tribal Flute Thing, A Fuckload of Wires, a HiFi system, a Philips Radio/CD/Cassette Player, Pots and Pans, Bowls and Mugs, Bins and Pens, and a Computer with Two Heads.
Anything else?
If you play Daddy Long Legs backwards to the episode of The Simpsons where Homer goes on strike to get his dental plan, you will uncover Black Zarak's plans for world domination, and thus that combination is the most politically volatile short film in history.

"aliens!" is cool - i've snaffled that one.... quite enjoying "everybody panic!" too....
just listening to the "everybody panic" ep thingy - starts slightly skewed and then goes full bore weird with a bit of dental torture thrown in.... i'm about half-way through it at the moment - 8 mins into "aliens?".... genuine crazy sh***, methinks.... but it does have that "certain bent appeal" that doktor thompson once spoke of.... it's not easy listening, but it's certainly interesting listening.... "good" (in a relative, non-objective sense) work chaps! ;)
HI, was just surfing the charts and heard 'Nobody panic', love the laid back sound and atmospheric feel, very well composed, nice piece of work.It would be great if you had the time to check out our song 'Your life', it's our first single here on SC, all the very best from Tam & the Giants
Snapping fingers, stomping my feet here while wirting,
enojoyed the don´t panic tune a lot. Great mixing, great sax, gonna add this to my station....
