We are Black Moon Rising, a vulgar combination of classic rock, hardcore punk and old school heavy metal (not to mention some blues and swing) from New York! We are wicked and vulgar, nasty and unkempt but we try to write enough hooks to keep our whiskey glasses full until the next show. Check it out...Band/artist history
2001 - Formed and first gig played.
2002 - First paying gig played and many shows to follow. "Tales from the Pit" demo is released.
2003 - More gigs! Opening slot for The Misfits and all sorts of other things secured. "Transilvanian Blues" demo and "Trick or Treat - The Lost Sessions" LP released.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, we do play live. The best show so far was to open for the Misfits on a Halloween night. What is cooler than that?
