Prove You Wrong Prove You Wrong

Pop Punk

Blacklisted are a three piece punk band from Norwich, UK. They are: Jonny: Vocals/Bass Peter: Drums Barry: Guitar/Vocals
Band/artist history
The origins of Blacklisted date way back to when Jonny first began to learn bass, and would go to his cousin Barry's house where they would ineptly play covers for a couple of hours with Barry on guitar. By 2002, he was a member of a band named Rigley Field, whose line-up included a surprisingly talented drummer named Peter, yet the group ground to a halt by the end of the year without making a great deal of progress. So in February 2003, Jonny and Barry decided to form a new band with Peter on drums. They began practicing together, and after what seemed like an age, came up with the name Blacklisted. The band immediately began writing their own songs, describing their sound as "fast but melodic punk". By October, they felt they had reached a stage where they would be confident enough to start gigging, and to help them promote themselves, recorded a four song CD at Purple Studios titled 'If I Ever Forgive You...' After their first gig at the end of that year, the band continued their hard work into 2004, where they played regular gigs around the Norwich area. By September, they had built their reputation as a strong live band, and had managed to score several high profile support slots. However, in that month the band experienced their first major setback when Barry left Norwich in order to go to university. The band put on a 'Temporary Farewell' show, featuring some of their favourite local bands, before departing the music scene for a short while. These problems have not deterred them, and all three members are looking forward to making further progress in 2005, with more shows and a new EP in the pipeline.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are currently gigging around the Norwich area. Playing live is definitely the best part of being in a band
