Black Ice hails from Havelock, NC. The band specialize in horror rock and have been called The Ultimate "Misfits Tribute Band". The band has ventured into doing their own original music that is incorporated into each show along with other great music from the punk genre. Black Ice attributes their sound to influences such as The Misfits, Graves, The Ramones, The Damned, Gotham Road.
Band/artist history
The band originated in 1998. The name of the band came from a book which has a really interesting plot we are trying to pull off...
Black Ice had four members for the first four shows when one of the members decided to leave the band. No harm, no foul..it ain't for everyone! The band struggled through it's trials and tribulations like any other band. Biggest downfall is being in an area where people don't listen to much more than the mediocre music format that the local radio stations get bucks for belting out hour after hour..thank GOD for CD players!
The band has been known as THE MISFITS TRIBUTE BAND and has been very lucky in respect that we have met Misfits and played with Michale Graves twice! That has been our best moments in the bands history so far. We look forward to performing with Michale and Gotham Road in the near future (hopefully)!
The band is trying to get a new CD released soon and hope to tour extensively in support of the CD. Maybe we'll see you soon?
