When you think of guitar rock, you think of shredding guitars and heart pounding bass and drums, right? Well, not me. I'm more for the less heart attack rendering sounds of acoustic guitars and light but soulful leads of southern blues and classic rock. Well... I'm not quite like that, but I like to try to incorporate my influences from those styles in my music somehow, and even if I don't sound like them, they come out in the content of the music and the written parts.Band/artist history
I don't really have a band history. I just started playing guitar somewhere around 11 years ago when I was 12 years old. Before that I learned piano when I was about 5 and still play and continue to write songs that nobody really understands.Have you performed in front of an audience?Every once in a while, I like to play live if I get the chance, but in college, I don't have that many opportunities. I had a special musical moment last year sometime at an open mic night we had at school where I got to play some music of mine and some that I just wrote while I was there.
Your musical influences
I think I would have to say that my influences of course start with the classics like Beethoven and Mozart, but then go into a broad range of musical genres such as blues and jazz, and even techno and stuff like that. I think that music is deeper than most people give it credit for, and I think that the music is the most powerful part of life and that people just need to grow up and accept every kind of music out there. (except opera of course!!! lol just kidding)What equipment do you use?
I use a windows XP equipped PC for most of my recording and musical programming, but I also use a small ZOOM MRS-4 multitrack recording system and a BOSS ME-33 multi-effects pedal.Anything else?
I would have to say that my favourite guitars are the Ibanez 7-string and any other guitar that rocks hard and kicks you in the head when you play it. Other than that, I really have nothing else to say in here.
