Bill Johnson Band Demo Bill Johnson Band Demo
Five song Demo for a quick introduction to our music. Thanks for listening. Yes it's all LIVE!
Welcome to my music site folks. I play lot's of live music but as of now only a small part of it has been recorded. The music I have uploaded on this site is here purely for your enjoyment and to introduce you to my music, guitar picking, etc.
I perform as a single with acoustic guitar and also on electric guitar with my band. We usually play as a four piece band with Brendan Hedley on piano and organ, Rick Erickson playing bass, and John Hunter playing drums. We like to add horns too when possible, so on those occasions my friend Gene Hardy leads our horn section.
The Band started in 1993 when I was asked to open for Otis Rush at a summer jazz fest. I had never been a band leader before but I had years of experience as a side man. The band went over really well and we've been busy ever since.
Have a look at my Homepage for the more info and photos etc.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live across westen Canada in many clubs, festivals, as well as private functions. I have been playing at Swan's Hotel in Victoria, BC, on Wednesdays for the last five years. So that's more or less home. We are regularly found working for these wonderful organisations: Nanaimo Blues Society, Hornby Island Blues Society, Victoria Jazz Society, Vancouver Jazz Society, Calgary Jazz Society.
