From Confession to celebration Becky sings and writes music to fulfill God's purpose for her life. It is her prayer that these songs would not just introduce you to God but lead you into his presence everyday! Music is powerful, and being able to share the transforming truth of Jesus Christ through song to touch lives is why she sings.

PRESSING ON

The title to a project that has been in the making for almost 5years as well as the theme of the life of Christian recording artist, Becky Haagsma. Through personal triumphs over many life struggles she has learned how to press on regardless of the circumstance and has found that to overcome and conquer life’s problems you must simply trust in the faithfulness of the Lord. She sings not to impress or entertain but to bring healing and peace to the listener.

BECKY HAAGSMA

Becky is the 33 year old wife of Randy, and mother of Christian, 12 yrs old, and Hannah, 3. She has served in the armed forces for 15 years and is currently practicing as a licensed practical nurse in Indiana. She has found no greater joy than to sing of the faithfulness of God. Pressing through whatever challenges she faces, she expresses her honest heartfelt feelings in song as a singer, songwriter, and worship leader. You can hear the passion in her music. It is deeply personal and heartfelt. She combines her life’s experiences with her soulful gift of song with “catchy” melody lines and meaningful lyrics to apply to your life.

MINISTRY

Philippians 3:12-14, Becky is “pressing on” to fulfill God’s purpose for her life and it is her prayer that these songs would not just introduce you to God, but lead you into his presence every day. She is submitted to Pastor Phil Amandola of Life Church in Bloomington, Indiana, and serves in the music ministry at the church. She has ministered in music at prison, bringing a message of liberty to those who are captive both physically and spiritually.

SONGWRITING

My songs come from real life situations, most of which are prayers that are from my own time of worship with God very intimate and personal. Some are about individuals who have come into my life to teach me a thing or two about the compassion that we should have for one another just as Christ has for us. Others are just repeating what God’s word says over our lives but no matter how they come about, my testimony can’t be questioned, you can’t deny what God has done for me and my family. In that alone, I will always be “Pressing on”into all that God has for me.

Playing live is so much fun. God does some pretty amazing things through people and you sometimes never really get to "see" the end result, but hearing the stories of how god uses a song to touch and change someones' heart and live is just incredible!

I am so humbled to know that God uses imperfect people to carry out HIS perfect plan and that no matter what we do, or how many times we fail, God is still faithful!
