Beats by Me. My beats represent all my feelings and ideas that I translate into music. I make all kinds of different beats which are inspired by everything from hip-hop to classical music to jazz and sounds which you wouldn't even usually consider music.
My music is versatile so most everybody is going to find something they like if they take the time to listen.
Most of the beats on here are samples of the full song. They are not neccesarily the finished version and changes or additions to bars and measures can be made in consideration of a featured artist.
I categorize my music into two sections
Beats and Beyond
Beats are more mainstream and are designed to have a rapper or vocalist over them.
Beyond tracks are sometimes stand alone and very abstract and "out there."
Too many to name when talking hip-hop. I grew up on Wu-Tang, D-Block and the Infamous Mobb Deep. My fam in the Midwest and the South put me on to a lotta other shit. Nowdays I'm bumpin everything from Papoose, Killah Priest, and Termanology to Ya Boy, Yo Gotti, Trae, Z-Ro, Gorilla Zoe, Banner and the Best Rapper Alive. Around 15 I got put on to Chopped n Screwed music and I been a ScrewHead ever since.
On a production level it's DJ Paul and Juicy J, David Banner, Havoc, Alchemist, Timbaland and Quincy Jones.
For inspiration I listen to some old Three 6, way before the Oscars. I listen to a lot of old soul music all the way from blues and jazz during the Harlem Renaissance to Motown to 70s funk.
I also find a lot of classical riffs that I like to sample.
I'm half Black, Half white so I try to listen to music from my heritage and learn from that. You can hear a lot of crazy drumlines in my songs which I match with drawn out melodies. Best of both worlds.
