Messiah King Messiah King
Inspired by some spontaneous words of worship: 'I embrace Your reign', this song worships Christ as King of a vast domain yet one who humbled Himself to enter my heart as Messiah
Barbara is primarily a lyricist and poet but also sings and is a worship leader. She has been a keynote speaker especially at women's retreats and seminars, during which many listeners have been inspired, encouraged and moved to tears by her testimony and songs. "Favoured Chick" showcases 14 of her original songs. She lived in Kuala Lumpur in 2001-2002, then in Canberra, Australia in 2003-2004 and now in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her songs swell from her life experiences of joys and trauma and are scripturally rooted.
"Favoured Chick" is Barbara Tipper's debut album featuring 14 of her original lyrics. 9 melodies in this album were written by Malaysian songwriter Ng Wah Lok and the balance 5 melodies by Barbara herself. Wah Lok also helped as the Executive Producer for the melodies he composed. The album was produced in Malaysia by Timothy Lee.
Barbara attributes her way with words to having received the gift unexpectedly during spontaneous worship in Malaysia in 2001. Barbara writes in a range of styles and is keen to hear from any music composers or bands who would like to collaborate with a Christian lyricist.
