There are 3 main draws about this band that set them apart from other bands. First off, there is Steven Salinas, who also plays guitar in the band. He screams well. He has even blown a few monitors with his ability to hit high notes. He also writes good lyrics too. The second is that we also have a softer side. Her name is Debbie Pucek and she sings with a soft and soothing voice that really catches your attention. She is also a writer of some of the songs that Back After Dawn has comprised. Debbie also plays bass in the band and is amazing at that as well. The third thing about the band is the way all of the instruments sound together and can really make you nod your head, so to speak, thanks to the added efforts of Matt Watson on guitar and Chris Clary on drums.
Back After Dawn has been playing many shows since its inception in September of 2002, playing many Dallas clubs such as; The Icehouse, Curtain Club, Galaxy Club, The Door, The Rock, Dallas Scare Grounds, Club Indigo, Across The Street Bar, The Home Bar, Liquid Lounge, and Lone Star Country Club. They have even spent extra time and money to play some free shows by renting out the local community center.
Some of Back After Dawn’s influences have been bands such as; The Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Sparta, Thursday, Thrice, Gravity Kills, Strung Out, No Use For A Name, NOFX, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Toadies, Dashboard Confessional, Weezer, Green Day, Jane’s Addiction, The Pixies, Cursive, Coheed, Cambria, Nirvana, Blink-182, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Unwritten Law, and Pennywise.
The band really enjoys meeting new people and they also like to hear feedback from them as well.
